About Maitreyee

Kathak has been a part of my soul since I first tied the ghungroos. It has taught me discipline, grace, patience, and a way to express emotions that words often can’t. Over the years, I’ve realized that Kathak is not just a dance form — it’s a journey of self-discovery and a connection to something divine. I want to share my knowledge because I believe art grows when it is shared. Each student brings their own energy, story, and emotions to the rhythm — and together, we create something truly beautiful!

About the lesson

1.I teach the relationship between dance and rhythm (laya, taal, bol) — so students don’t just follow beats, they feel the music.

2.I help international students understand the cultural depth of Indian classical dance — in a way that’s easy, enjoyable, and inclusive.

3.Small batch sizes or one-on-one mentoring — so every student gets attention on posture, expressions, and improvement areas.
