About Tom
I am a Certified Pharmacy Technician with a background in pharmaceutical sciences and hands-on experience in both community and hospital pharmacy settings. I have experience working with medications, pharmacy calculations, drug classifications, pharmacy law, medication distribution, and hospital pharmacy systems.
Having recently prepared for and passed the PTCE myself, I understand which topics can be challenging and how to study them efficiently. I enjoy breaking complicated pharmacy concepts into simple, easy-to-remember explanations. My goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen their pharmacy knowledge, and feel fully prepared for the PTCE.

I provide personalized PTCE and pharmacy technician tutoring based on each student’s learning needs and experience level. My lessons cover Top 200 medications, brand and generic names, drug classes, indications, pharmacy calculations, federal pharmacy law, controlled substances, sig codes, and common pharmacy practices.
I use practice questions, simple explanations, memory techniques, and step-by-step problem solving to make difficult topics easier to understand. I can also focus lessons on areas where you need the most improvement and provide exam-style practice to help you prepare confidently for the PTCE.
My lessons are ideal for pharmacy technician students, PTCE candidates, and anyone who wants to strengthen their pharmacy knowledge. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician with both community and hospital pharmacy experience, I also incorporate practical examples from real pharmacy settings to help connect textbook knowledge with everyday practice.
