About Justine

Hi! I’m a certified special education teacher with five years of experience working with elementary-aged students. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Comprehensive Special Education and am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Dyslexia and Language-Based Learning Disabilities.

My philosophy of education is rooted in three core values: communication, compassion, and advocacy. Equity is at the heart of my teaching philosophy. I believe that equity does not mean providing every student with the same instruction, but rather recognizing their individual strengths and needs and providing the support and opportunities they need to succeed.

Throughout my teaching career, I’ve developed a passion for creating meaningful learning experiences that help students build confidence, independence, and a sense of ownership over their education. I believe in meeting students where they are, building positive relationships, and providing individualized support that allows each child to succeed.

Most importantly, I want my students to feel valued, understood, and empowered as learners. My goal is to not only help students grow academically but also encourage them to recognize their strengths and advocate for themselves.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching is centered around individualized, student-centered learning. I believe that every child learns differently, and instruction should reflect their unique strengths, interests, and needs.

My lessons focus on building foundational skills in reading, writing, spelling, and literacy through engaging, meaningful learning experiences. I incorporate choice-based activities, hands-on learning, and opportunities for students to make connections to their own experiences.

I believe students learn best when they feel supported, confident, and actively involved in their learning. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I adapt my instruction to meet each student where they are while encouraging independence, creativity, and growth.

My goal is not only to strengthen academic skills but also to help students become confident, motivated learners who feel empowered in their education.
