About Simon
Hi, my name is Simon and I have a PhD in Chemistry meaning that I am a doctor of Chemistry. I have been teaching in one form or another since my undergraduate degree in the late 1990s. I often tutored my friends in the course. From there, I tutored younger undergraduates through both my degrees before moving to become a lecturer. After a decade of lecturing and doing research, I decided to return to the classroom in order to help the students of my home county achieve their goals through science.

I am a well-qualified teacher with many years of 1-to-1 tutoring experience. I tailor all my classes to meet the needs of the individual student, and willrespond to meet their strengths and weaknesses. Typical lessons are 1 hour long.
I have both a masters and PhD in Chemistry from a Russell group university. As well as having lectured in Chemistry at university level, I am also a fullyqualified teacher holding QTS (qualified teacher status).
Though I can teach across all age groups, I specialise in GCSE, A-level and undergraduate Chemistry.
