About Kate
I am Classical philologist, with Ph.D. in Homer's studies. I have 25 years of teaching background - in Latin language, Georgian Language, academic writing, ancient literature, etc. I've published 12 books. Between them are 3 monographs in Greek-Roman studies, translation of Homer's "Iliad" in Georgian language and 6 volumes of my own poetry. One of my books, "Roman holidays" are translated in Italian language. Now I live in London, but teaching online at Georgian National University, being associate professor there.

I teach Latin from beginner level, mainly for the students who are interested in Latin for the general education. Lessons are for the people of any age. Length of the lesson: 1 hour. For teaching use two main methods: Traditional Grammar-Translation Method. This classical approach focuses on learning grammatical rules, declensions, and conjugations through systematic study. Students memorise paradigms and translate texts from Latin to English. Historical-Cultural Context Method. This approach integrates Latin language learning with Roman history, culture, and civilisation. Students learn vocabulary and grammar through authentic historical texts and cultural materials, making connections between language and the society that produced it.
