About Madelaine

I have been giving lessons for seven years, ranging from 6year olds to to tutoring a group of 20 first year classics students to one to one work with SEN students. My students have all scored exceptionally well in tests and exams, as well as met and surpassed targets seamlessly.

About the lesson

I am supportive, warm and take pride in encouraging students to improve and gain confidence in their studies and in finding that a deep sense of enjoyment and empowerment. Passionate about education, I teach students between the ages of 6-16, either for academic support or extension, I also specialise in working with SEN students.

I enjoy multi sensory work and believe that every student works and learns differently, and in order to attain the best results is to work to the students strengths, I create a lesson plan around the area of study and students needs - then continue from there.

Maddi was friendly and knowledgable. She helped me understand Shakespeare in a way my teachers could not; through her passion and not sanitising the text to just being part of a curriculum. I'd strongly recommend her for the Greek classics also.

I have known Madelaine for 3 years now and in that time have known her to be an excellent, reliable and trustworthy person whom I have recommended to many families both as a tutor and as a nanny offering homework help. She has a wonderful, adaptable and creative manner with children of all ages and abilities - they all thrive under her guidance and find a friend in her too. She would make a fantastic tutor/mentor to a child. Her commitment to each child she works with is second to none as she particularly understands the need for consistency and reliability - this I have noticed especially in her phenomenal work with children with learning difficulties. All in all I think she would make a brilliant tutor.
