About Hannah

I recently graduated with a Masters in Greek and Latin Languages and Literature from the University of Oxford and was awarded a high Merit. In 2017 I graduated from the University of Oxford with First in my BA (Hons) in Classics, where I also received both an academic scholarship and exhibition during the course of my studies. I am therefore able to tutor Latin and Ancient Greek to any required level. I also achieved an A* in English Literature at A-Level.

Over the past few years I have tutored students who have gone on to achieve outstanding results at GCSE and A-Level and I have received consistently excellent feedback from my clients.

As well as having over four years of private tutoring experience, I also have a lot of general experience in teaching and working with children. I have volunteered for the Minimus Project, teaching Latin to a group of children aged 9-11, and I mentored younger students in Classics at my school in one-to-one sessions. In addition, I set up and ran an extracurricular Classics club for younger students at my school while I was in sixth form and I volunteered for MENCAP, where I worked with children with learning disabilities, running drama games and similar activities to support the improvement of their communication skills.

As a tutor, I am committed to fully adapting my methods and style of teaching to suit the needs of individual students. I believe that this flexibility of approach is the most successful way of engaging and exciting a student about a subject. Another of my passions is theatre and performance, where I have learnt how to be a confident and effective communicator, while being consistently sensitive to the needs of others in order to get the best out of them.

Perfect! Great Latin Tutor!
We were so pleased to find Hannah! My daughter immediately felt at ease with her. She really listened, was very patient and clear in explaining and gave good advice.
