Communicative Language Teaching (CLT): Emphasis on real-world communication and fluency through dialogues, role-plays, and interactive activities.
Task-Based Learning (TBL): Students complete meaningful tasks (e.g., writing emails, preparing presentations, or debating topics) to practice language naturally.
Grammar in Context: Instead of isolated rules, grammar is taught through examples and practical use in speaking and writing.
Error Correction & Feedback: Constructive, personalized feedback helps students understand their strengths and address specific areas for improvement.
Technology Integration: Tools like videos, interactive quizzes, digital flashcards, and online discussions make learning dynamic and accessible.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Lesson Duration: 60 minutes
Level: Can be adapted from Beginner to Advanced (A1–C2)
1. Warm-Up (5–10 mins)
Icebreaker or quick speaking activity related to the theme
Review of the previous lesson or a vocabulary quiz
2. Presentation (10–15 mins)
Introduce the topic or language point (e.g., "Present Perfect Tense" or "Making Polite Requests")
Use multimedia content or real-life examples
3. Practice (20–25 mins)
Controlled activities: gap-fills, sentence matching, listening exercises
Freer practice: pair work, discussion questions, short writing tasks
4. Feedback & Correction (10 mins)
Address common mistakes from the practice session
Discuss new vocabulary or grammar patterns
5. Wrap-Up & Homework (5 mins)
Quick summary or reflection
Assign relevant reading, writing, or vocabulary tasks
