About Emmanuel

Hi, my name is Emmanuel jibi I am a Computer Engineering student with a hardware specialization at The University of Alberta. Throughout my degree, I gained a vast understanding of math, physics, coding, and circuitry that I can apply to help students better understand whatever they are struggling with. I have experience managing projects and being part of many physics, circuitry, and even chemistry labs so I can lead, coordinate, and communicate with students and adults proficiently.

About the lesson

My methodology extends to asking the individual what teaching methods benefit their learning. I will then structure my lessons from their feedback and try to accommodate their learning style. My techniques would mostly center on simplifying the concept to analogies or simple points and details that help the student understand the concept down to its finer details but not so fine as to be pedantic and lacking the big picture.

A typical lesson plan would center around their learning style for example an individual who would rather be active in their learning would be provided a problem to solve wherein then I give them an allotted amount of time to solve and ask questions about it. After the allotted time is over I would provide them the solution and the methodology to gain a fast solution. This moves me forward to allowing them to learn how a theorem relates to the problem they tried to solve or did solve and then solidly and concretely etch into their mind the applications of the theorem.

What sets me apart as a tutor is the ability to verbalize and simplify topics that may seem daunting to others. My ability to verbalize concepts led me to understand the need for patience when it comes to teaching, students often require time to comprehend subjects but even more than that they require a guiding hand that pushes them to realize how, why, and when to apply theorems which I can provide by giving them problems they can solve and actively listening and being non-judgmental to even the simplest of questions they have about them.

My lessons are from high school to sophomore undergraduate university.
