About Saksham

My name is Saksham, and I am a Computer Science undergraduate in Edinburgh with a strong academic background in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computing. I am reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality tutoring in a supportive and professional manner.

I have completed Advanced Higher Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science, and I currently apply these subjects at university level. Alongside my studies, I have experience mentoring students in Maths, Chemistry, and Computing, helping them strengthen their understanding and improve their academic performance. This experience has allowed me to work with learners of different abilities and adapt my teaching to suit individual needs.

I take a calm, patient, and structured approach to tutoring. I believe confidence comes from understanding, so I focus on clear explanations, careful progression through topics, and regular practice. I encourage questions and ensure students feel comfortable making mistakes, as this is an important part of learning.

I teach Primary level as well as National 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher students. Whether a student needs long-term academic support, exam preparation, or help with specific topics, I aim to create a positive learning environment where they can build confidence, improve skills, and reach their full potential.

About the lesson

My teaching approach

I focus on building strong foundations first, then gradually increasing difficulty so students gain confidence and independence. Lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s learning style. I use clear explanations, real-life examples, exam-style questions, and step-by-step problem solving to make challenging topics easier to understand. For younger students, I keep lessons engaging and supportive, while for senior levels I focus on accuracy, exam technique, and deeper understanding.

Lesson structure

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, though longer sessions are available if needed. Lessons usually include:

Review of previous work or problem areas

Teaching new concepts clearly and patiently

Guided practice and exam-style questions

Quick recap and targets for improvement

Homework support and exam revision can be included on request.

Experience & background

I am currently studying Computer Science at university and have completed Advanced Higher Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science. I have experience mentoring students in Maths, Chemistry, and Computing, and I enjoy helping learners build both skill and confidence in technical subjects.
