About Mia
I am a writer that has been writing for a decade now, I gained a passion for creative writing in middle school and maintained and grew my skills all throughout high school and after I graduated.
I have since written over 200,000 words in creative personal pieces ranging from short stories, to novelettes to expansive lore guides and world building projects. As of recently I have published a novelette and I am currently writing my second from the same series.
One of my proudest writing achievements was scoring in the top ten in the Alberta Grade 9 Provincial Achievement Test.
My goal is to help others find confidence and accomplishment in their own writing. Being able to tell stories and write persuasive essays and comprehend writing is a powerful way to communicate and a power I believe everyone should be able to have.

I have been writing creatively since middle school, having found my passion for writing and after publishing my first novelette, I want to help others improve their writing skills be it for creative writing or persuasive writing.
My lessons will start with creating a draft or reviewing an existing draft to understand where a student can benefit from feedback, constructive criticism, and practicing and polishing skills from grammar, paragraph structuring, worldbuilding in the case of creative writing, and elements of persuasive writing like constructing an introduction, thesis, body paragraphs and conclusions. I will also be introducing tricks and tips that I have learned over the decade to help overcome writer's block and perfectionist-based procrastination. By the end of the lesson the goal will be to have a finalized draft to the student's satisfaction.
My lessons are for anyone in high school, college, university, inspiring writers, as well as those simply looking to improve their English literature skills. I accept anyone of any experience level and my lessons will tailor to the student's individual needs and learning style.
