About Michael

Having taught in International Schools in the Middle East, China and the UK, I have a wealth of experience with students from all backgrounds and abilities. My students have appreciated my calm and funny nature in the classroom and always enjoyed my classes.

About the lesson

In every session, I seek to create an environment that is positive, caring and challenging. Through guidance, inquiry and the use of adaptive teaching to meet the needs of the individual, my students are able to feel comfortable with being challenged and feel pride in their ability to succeed. In praising participation and focusing on their process, my students feel confident in taking risks in their learning and value participation over the chance of failure.

Typical lesson length 60 minutes.

- UK trained - PGCE and QTS - BA Hons English Literature and Sociology - MA Politics (Newcastle University) - PhD (ongoing) Socio-Linguistics -Educational Research (University of Bath) - MA Creative Writing (ongoing) Edinburgh Napier University. Full international enhanced DBS checked.
