About the lesson

·Educator of ALL levels.

·Lessons will follow the structure of I do, we do, they do. I will first model and demonstrate how a question must be answered and verbalize my thinking so students can understand how I came to an answer or conclusion. We will then do a question together; I will allow them to do the problem independently, and then we will come back together. I will listen to the student's thought processes and how they came up with an answer/conclusion. Finally, to see if students have mastered the skill, I will provide them with questions they will answer independently.

·We will continue to practice the skill until the student masters it.

·To help students with their academics, I must look at data and determine how they best learn.

·I use data to drive my instruction, but knowing the individual student, their understanding, their needs, and areas of strength and weakness also go into my teaching.

·Every lesson will be tailored to students' particular needs.

We have had multiple lessons so far, and I love it! The student is engaged and has an intrinsic motivation to learn. Her curiosity is impressive, and she is excellent at asking questions. She is also very prepared for our meetings. I am excited about future lessons together.
