About Angela (Anya)

Hi :) I'm a native English speaker with TEFL certification. I got into tutoring because I love watching people go from hesitant to confident when speaking a new language, that moment when the words start coming naturally instead of feeling forced. I grew up around friends and family from all different cultures, so I'm used to different accents, backgrounds, and ways of learning, and I bring that patience and openness into every lesson. My lessons focus on real conversation and practical English you'll actually use, not just textbook drills. Outside of teaching, I'm a bit of a foodie. I cook a lot, and if there's one thing cooking taught me, it's that good results come from patience and breaking big things into small, manageable steps. That's exactly how I approach lessons too.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on building real, practical English skills through natural conversation. As a native English speaker with TEFL certification, I create a relaxed, supportive environment where you can practice speaking confidently, improve your grammar, and expand your vocabulary. Each lesson is tailored to your level and goals, whether you're a complete beginner or looking to sound more natural and fluent. We'll work at your pace, with plenty of encouragement along the way.

Anya is such a wonderful teacher. She has a really easygoing way of working with people that makes you feel comfortable right away. She is great at noticing where someone needs extra help and finding a different way to explain something when it isn’t clicking. She is also very easy to communicate with and puts a lot of thought into what she teaches. Highly recommend! :)

I highly recommend Angela as an English tutor. She is patient, encouraging and genuinely invested in helping her students improve. She has a great ability to explain things clearly and make learning feel comfortable and approachable, even when a student is struggling with something.

She is reliable, thoughtful and takes the time to understand each student’s individual needs and goals rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Her passion for English really comes through in the way she teaches.

If you’re looking for an English tutor who is supportive, knowledgeable and genuinely wants to see her students succeed, I would definitely recommend Angela!!
