About Jessica

I have enjoyed tutoring 100 and 200 level courses at the university and was a peer tutor in high school. I really enjoy helping impart knowledge and seeing students grow in their confidence with a subject! I did well in high school with my NCEA internals and externals and would like to see you reach your goals as well. I have experience from 2023-2025 tutoring 26 students, across 118 lessons in English, statistics, calculus, chemistry, physics, algebra, and maths, with more than 65% booking more than one lesson, and over 40% of my students coming back for more than 3 lessons. (Last updated Dec 2025)

About the lesson

I am happy to meet you where you are, create a study plan and work to your strengths! Typical lesson: work through tricky problems you have been grappling with and identify strategies to tackle these in the future. I got E's and M's mostly, in high school science and math 2015-2019. With multiple changes in teachers, one tutor would be best to keep a consistent approach to teaching that can be easily followed, during my first freely offered lesson, the student was eager to learn and communicated their understanding well. A pleasure to tutor.
