About Izzy

I'm a laid back, enthusiastic and flexible tutor with a strong professional background in medical science, and an extensive tutoring history in English, Psychology, and History. I like to keep sessions friendly and varied, adapting to whatever best fits your learning style, encouraging you to reach beyond your limits in a safe learning environment that differs from your experience within the classroom, instead complementing what you cover in school. I also try to focus on building your understanding of how you learn, what interests you, and what your next steps in education might be, while building your confidence as a learner

About the lesson

My teaching style is flexible and is built around the individual learning needs of each student, which we explore in an initial trial lesson. I encourage a multi-faceted approach to learning any subject, and help my students also develop independent study skills they can take forward with them in their future learning.

Ann

We have had many tutors over the years and Isobel was by far and away the best. She is personable, organised, engaging, patient and able to explain difficult concepts in a clear and accessible fashion. Isobel was also extremely proactive in providing additional materials that would help consolidate what had been learnt or extend it. I have no hesitation in recommending Isobel.
