About Palwasha

I am a friendly, patient and dedicated tutor with experience providing both online and face-to-face lessons to students from Primary 6–7 through National 5, Higher and IGCSE level. I currently tutor Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at iLearner Hub in Aberdeen, alongside studying for my MBBS. I have also provided online tutoring and one-to-one academic support, including experience supporting autistic students with adapted teaching approaches.

I take pride in creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their confidence. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to their individual needs, ability and goals. I use clear explanations, visual resources, worked examples, practice questions and short quizzes to make lessons engaging and ensure students understand the material.

Whether a student needs help catching up, strengthening their understanding, preparing for an exam or simply becoming more confident in a subject, I am committed to providing patient and personalised support. I am reliable, organised and approachable, and I always aim to make each lesson productive while ensuring the student feels encouraged and supported throughout their learning journey.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is supportive, patient and personalised. I believe every student learns differently, so I first try to understand their current level, strengths, areas for improvement and preferred learning style. I then adapt my teaching methods and the pace of each lesson to suit them.

I use clear, step-by-step explanations and a combination of visual notes, diagrams, annotations, worked examples and questioning to make difficult concepts easier to understand. I also use short quizzes and practice questions throughout lessons to check understanding and identify any areas that need further explanation. For students preparing for exams, I incorporate revision techniques, past-paper questions, exam practice and guidance on how to approach different types of questions. My aim is not simply to provide answers, but to help students understand the reasoning behind them and gradually become more confident and independent learners.

I have experience providing both online and face-to-face tutoring. I currently tutor at iLearner Hub in Aberdeen, where I teach Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics to students from Primary 6–7 through National 5 and Higher level. I also have previous online tutoring experience teaching IGCSE and Higher-level students. In addition, I have experience providing one-to-one specialised support to autistic students and adapting my teaching style to their individual needs.

I am currently studying for an MBBS at East West Georgian University, giving me a strong academic background in Biology and Chemistry alongside my previous qualifications, including Scottish Highers and GCSEs.

My lessons are suitable for students from approximately Primary 6–7 through National 5, Higher and IGCSE level, depending on the subject. I can support students with building their subject knowledge, homework, revision, coursework and exam preparation.

**Typical lesson length:** I recommend **1-hour lessons** for most students, as this provides enough time to explain concepts, practise questions and check understanding without making the session too overwhelming. Lesson length can be adapted depending on the student's age, needs and goals.
