About Marianela

I have worked as scientists, researcher, professor (teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels) and online tutor. My previous professional roles required excellent critical-thinking, adaptability, communications skills and problem-solving approaches, which I feel are key attributes to imbue in students. I believe this approach, coupled with enthusiasm and passion, are very effective pedagogical tools.

About the lesson

• Prepare lessons attractive to a wide variety of learning styles, combining learning modalities (audio, visual, kinetic) and inclusive learning
• Create a learning-friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions
• Promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills through simulations and case studies
• Encourage students to actively participate in group activities and discussions
• Provide advise, and direction to students, increase the cooperation of reluctant students, and maintain harmony in the classroom to achieve results
• Able to teach in a diversity of environments, in person and remotely (online)
• Facilitate student discussions in forums as well as through live, interactive communications for distance teaching
