About Gurdeep
I am a qualified teacher with more than 10 years teaching experience in international schools where I have been teaching IGCSE and A-levels. I am currently attached to a private college of higher education teaching A- levels chemistry and foundation courses. I graduated with a degree in Engineering and later went on to a Master's degree in Chemistry. I also have a teaching diploma and have undergone several training sessions with Cambridge to upgrade myself. In year 2020 I was awarded the "Teaching Innovation award" from my institution for using innovative methods in my classroom teaching. I have always obtained 50% to 80% A's in the AS and A2 Cambridge exams which is testimony that my method of teaching is effective.

I very well versed with online teaching. I use innovative methods of teaching such as gamification to make my lessons interesting and to enhance student understanding of a particular topic. I am very familiar with the Cambridge syllabus for A- levels and IGCSE. My lessons will be delivered via zoom where I will share resources such as PowerPoint slides, videos, past exam papers etc. I usually begin with an overview of what I will be teaching i.e. the learning outcomes followed by the content and then some videos and quizzes to test the understanding of the student. For exam preparation, I will choose some past exam questions relevant to the topic so that the student will be able to apply what has been taught. I encourage student participation so that I can have a feedback on the level of understanding of my lesson.
