About Maria

I am a freelance educator, writer, and editor with experience teaching post-secondary English and EAL/ESL. I have taught at two colleges in Calgary and was a teaching assistant to a professor at the University of Lethbridge, where I completed my master's in English. I also have experience teaching ESL/EAL to children and adults in Taiwan and Canada. I have also completed my CELPIP Level 2 certification.

About the lesson

I believe in a supportive, positive environment. Using a student-centered approach, I personalize learning and tailor lessons to each student’s needs. I encourage engagement and enthusiasm for the subject to help learners retain information. I also have CELPIP level 2 training and experience tutoring for IELTS.
