About Luyanda

I am an experienced English tutor with a strong foundation in communication, public speaking, and structured learning. I have achieved a distinction in English and have received recognition for debate and public speaking, which strengthened both my analytical and expressive skills.

Beyond academics, I work in Learning and Development, where I support training initiatives and help individuals grow in confidence and capability. This professional experience allows me to approach tutoring with patience, structure, and a clear focus on measurable progress.

I am passionate about helping students communicate clearly, think critically, and build confidence in both spoken and written English. My lessons are supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s goals.

I begin by assessing your current ability and understanding what you would like to achieve whether that is improving grammar, strengthening writing skills, preparing for exams, enhancing conversational fluency, or developing professional communication.

Each lesson follows a clear and organised structure. A typical session includes:

A focused language concept or grammar point

Practical speaking or writing exercises

Real-life examples to encourage natural usage

Immediate feedback and guided correction

A short recap to reinforce understanding

I believe language is best learned through understanding, consistent practice, and confidence building not memorisation alone. I explain the reasoning behind grammar and sentence structure so that students gain long-term clarity rather than temporary improvement.

I create a calm and encouraging learning environment where mistakes are part of the growth process. My goal is not only to improve your English skills, but to help you communicate clearly and confidently in academic, professional, and everyday settings.

With my background in Learning and Development, I prioritise structured progress and measurable improvement. Students can expect preparation, consistency, and personalised attention in every session.
