About Sophia
I am a third year Maths student at the University of Nottingham, on track for a high 1st class degree classification.
I have 5+ years experience in tutoring, having also tutored IB higher Maths. I initiated a maths mentoring program for A-level students. I have worked with students at all levels and am happy to help anyone that wants to improve.
Outside of being passionate about Maths, I love running and cycling and used to compete internationally in Triathlon.
A-levels in Maths, Economics, Russian, Further Maths, and Physics.

When taking on a student, I like to get an idea of what the pupil wants to achieve. I start by assessing their goals and the areas in which they are struggling. After getting to know the areas that need improvement, we go over the fundamentals to make sure that the student understands the method to solve a question. Then we apply the method, and finally I try to stretch the student’s understanding with a range of applications.
I have experience with several exam boards including Edexcel, Eduqas, and OCR.
I tutor a range of abilities up to and including A-level.
