About Lizette
I’m a passionate, bilingual educator with over 25 years of experience teaching K–12 students, especially those with learning differences. I teach from home and am currently completing my M.S.Ed. in Reading with a certification in dyslexia. I love teaching, reading, and cooking—and always strive to make learning meaningful, personalized, and fun. I’m also a proud mom to a smart and handsome 25-year-old son who keeps me inspired every day.

As a bilingual K–12 educator with over 25 years of experience, I specialize in supporting students with learning differences. My tutoring approach is individualized and structured, grounded in evidence-based reading instruction. I focus on phonics, phonemic awareness, comprehension, and literature. A typical session includes a warm-up review, targeted skill practice using multisensory techniques, guided reading, and a short, engaging closing activity. I create a supportive, judgment-free environment where students feel confident taking risks and growing. What sets me apart is my ability to adapt lessons to meet each learner’s unique needs while building a strong foundation in literacy. Lessons are ideal for elementary and middle school students, particularly those who struggle with reading or have been diagnosed with dyslexia.
