About Ashwin Chintaman
I am Ashwin Chintaman, a qualified Civil Engineer with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and over four years of professional experience applying mathematics and geometry in real-world engineering projects. My academic and professional background gives me a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and the ability to explain them clearly and effectively.
I focus on making complex topics simple and logical, ensuring students not only learn how to solve problems but also understand the reasoning behind them. My teaching approach is structured, patient, and tailored to each student’s learning style, building both confidence and problem-solving skills.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes and combine clear explanations, guided practice, independent exercises, and review to reinforce learning. I am comfortable teaching students at all levels, from secondary school (Junior Cert and Leaving Cert) to early college-level mathematics and engineering-related topics.
I am committed to creating a supportive and professional learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and develop a genuine understanding of the subject. My goal is to help students achieve their academic targets while fostering confidence, curiosity, and a lasting appreciation for mathematics and geometry.

My approach to tutoring is structured, student-focused, and concept-driven. I believe mathematics should be understood, not memorised. I begin by assessing the student’s current level and identifying gaps in understanding. From there, I design lessons that strengthen fundamentals before moving to advanced problem-solving. I break complex topics into simple, logical steps and explain the reasoning behind formulas and methods. I also use real-world examples, especially from engineering, to make abstract concepts easier to understand.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. Each session usually includes concept explanation, guided examples, independent practice, and short review exercises. I encourage students to ask questions freely and aim to build both confidence and analytical thinking skills.
I hold a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and have over four years of professional experience where mathematics, geometry, algebra, trigonometry, and calculus were applied daily. My strong academic background allows me to teach with clarity and depth.
My lessons are suitable for primary, secondary (Junior Cert and Leaving Cert), and early college-level students. I can also support engineering students who need help with technical mathematics subjects.
My goal is to make mathematics clear, logical, and achievable for every student.
