About Yasmin

I am a Math tutor with over 5 years of experience and an MPhil in Mathematics, passionate about helping students build confidence and overcome math anxiety. I take a holistic approach, focusing not just on solving problems, but on nurturing a positive relationship with mathematics. I work with learners of all ages, using growth mindset techniques to encourage persistence and resilience. Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace and learning style, ensuring concepts are fully understood before moving forward. Positive reinforcement is a key part of my approach, helping students feel proud of their progress and motivated to continue. I have helped many students who have struggled with math in the past or feel overwhelmed by complex topics. Together, we break down challenging problems into manageable steps, celebrating every small success along the way. I emphasize understanding over memorization, building both skills and confidence simultaneously. My sessions are supportive, patient, and interactive, creating a safe space for asking questions and exploring ideas. I aim to transform not just performance, but mindset, helping students see math as an exciting and achievable challenge. Learning becomes less stressful and more enjoyable, opening doors to greater achievement. I am committed to helping every student discover their innate ability to succeed in mathematics. Together, we can transform your relationship with math, boost your confidence, and unlock your full potential.

My teaching approach in Maths focuses on making learning engaging, practical, and enjoyable. I emphasize understanding concepts deeply while encouraging playful exploration through logic puzzles, game theory, and recreational mathematics. Students are guided to see how math applies to everyday scenarios, from problem-solving at home to real-world decision-making.

Lessons are personalized to suit each student’s pace and learning style. I create a nurturing environment where curiosity is celebrated and questions are welcomed. Complex topics are broken down into clear, simple steps, making them easier to grasp and apply.

I support students in building confidence, mastering challenging problems, and developing critical thinking skills. Assignments and exercises are designed to strengthen both understanding and enjoyment of mathematics. Through games, puzzles, and real-life examples, students discover the fun side of math while improving logic and reasoning.

I encourage exploration, creativity, and independent thinking, helping students connect ideas across different areas of mathematics. My goal is to foster not just skills, but a lasting appreciation for math’s beauty and usefulness. Students leave sessions motivated, confident, and ready to excel in both academics and everyday problem-solving.
