About Omar

I am an online math tutor with four years of one on one teaching experience, working with students from Grade 4 through Grade 12. I currently teach with a US-based online academy, where I help students build stronger foundations, catch up on missed concepts, and prepare for SAT Math, ACT, and AP Calculus exams.

My teaching is built around one simple idea: find exactly where things stopped making sense and fix it from there. Most students who struggle with math are not weak at the subject. They are missing one specific concept from an earlier stage. Once we find it, progress comes quickly.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, a degree built on advanced mathematics and physics. That background means I understand the subject at a deep level and can explain it in more than one way until the right explanation lands.

Every student I work with gets a session built around them, not a standard lesson plan.

About the lesson

Every session starts with one question: where does it actually stop making sense for you?

Most students who struggle with math are not really stuck on the current topic. They are missing one concept from an earlier stage and everything since has been shaky because of it. Finding that point is always the first thing we do. Once we find it, things get a lot clearer a lot faster.

Sessions are one on one and fully built around you. The pace, the starting point, and the way things get explained all depend on what works for you specifically, not on a plan written before we met.

For SAT Math, ACT, and AP Calculus students, every session includes real exam-style questions, time management practice, and a close look at the mistakes that keep repeating. Knowing the material is not the same as performing on test day and both are worth working on.

Topics covered include arithmetic, fractions, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, functions, pre-calculus, and AP Calculus AB and BC.

Lessons are open to students from Grade 6 through Grade 12, all levels welcome.
