About Megan

Hello! I'm a fully qualified primary teacher with five years of teaching experience, and I'm passionate about helping children feel happy, confident and capable in their learning.

I believe every child can succeed when they have the right support, encouragement, and opportunities to learn in a way that works for them. I know maths can feel overwhelming, especially when a child starts to lose confidence or feels they are falling behind. I aim to make learning feel positive, relaxed, and achievable, so children can work at their own pace without feeling pressured or afraid to make mistakes.

As a teacher, I have experience working with children with a wide range of abilities and additional support needs. This has helped me appreciate just how different every child's learning journey can be. I take the time to get to know each pupil, understand what they find tricky, and celebrate small steps forward as much as big achievements.

Above all, I want children to leave a lesson feeling proud of themselves, knowing they can do more than they might have thought. I want them to enjoy learning, feel comfortable asking questions, and build confidence that stays with them in and out of the classroom.

About the lesson

As a qualified primary teacher with five years of teaching experience, I offer friendly, personalised maths tuition for children aged 5–12. My approach is calm, encouraging and tailored to each child's individual needs, abilities and learning style.

I aim to make maths enjoyable and accessible while helping children develop their understanding, confidence and independence. Lessons are adapted to suit each pupil, whether they need extra support with key concepts, practice with number skills or a challenge to extend their learning.

Sessions typically last one hour and can focus on areas such as number bonds, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and problem-solving. I have experience supporting children with a range of learning needs and understand the importance of creating a positive environment where every child feels comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

My goal is to help each child recognise their progress, feel proud of their achievements and develop a more positive relationship with maths.
