About Stacey
I have been teaching elementary Math for 10 years and have taught many different programs. I have furthered my education and have taken courses to expand my abilities in reaching students who struggle in math.
I have a 120 hour TESOL Advanced certificate, I have Wilson and Fundations training and I have also attended many other courses and workshops related to reading, grammar and other areas of literacy.
I have been teaching for over 10 years. I have been a PreK Teacher, Math and Literacy Interventionist, Special Education Assistant and an Online ESL Tutor.
I became a teacher because of my experience volunteering in an Orphanage in Mumbai India. I taught children ages 5-15 English and Math. We also played games and I learned about their culture. It changed my life and sent me down the path of an educator.
With my many years as an interventionist I am able to asses students abilities in both literacy and math. I can determine the root of the issue and work on the skills needed to bring you up to speed.

I assess all students during an initial lesson to determine educational level and individual student needs.
I create individualized learning plans for each child and keep good communication with parents to determine skills and expectations for each student.
I have been tutoring online for over 4 years and pride myself on my patience and ability to keep students engaged during each lesson.
I have a wide range of resources I use to build student skills and practice a variety of skills in math and literacy.
