About Michael
I have taught beginners as well as led group trumpet sectionals through my time at college in which I would cover good fundamental practices, Jazz theory and introductory approaches to improvisation. Professionally I have done some recording for smaller upcoming projects as well as some of my own music, and I play gigs with a New Orleans style Brass Band in Chicago.

Any student level from beginner to advanced is welcome. We can work on a routine for a specific goal or identify what areas of playing could be improved and work from there. I believe producing a good core sound adaptable to any style is the first and most important thing about performing and will improve anyone's odds at progressing in whatever genre of music they prefer. We can also work on music theory and improvisation and different approaches to it as it is an essential skill for Jazz musicians.
