About Emily

I have a Bachelors degree in English with a minor in Communications from Radford University. I have past tutor and child care experience for over 8 years. I am very flexible and would love the opportunity to help others work toward their goals while also learning along the way. I have always loved reading and writing since I can remember. I think how we connect with people, relate with people, and interact with people is extremely important. Reading, writing, and communication skills are highly desired in the workplace today and I would love to help others reach their goals.

I have always been a great writer. As soon as I started my freshman year in college, classmates and peers would come to me for essay help and editing while working toward my degree. I have babysitting and nannying experience for over 8 years, and would occasionally help with school assignments and tutoring sessions on the job.

I have a Bachelors in English, with a concentration in professional and technical writing, followed by a minor in communications.

About the lesson

Every student is a unique individual and learn at their own pace. Tutors must determine their students' needs and develop strategies that will work best for each student.

I have worked with students ranging from 3-16 years old. I am also open to any ages for any subjects related to English and writing.

Never stop learning. School can teach you many things, but the world has knowledge that extends beyond classrooms. Be open to it
