About Kim

I am a certified reading specialist with the State of Illinois. I have 20 years of teaching experience. I specialize in Literacy Instruction. I am also certified in K-3 with a Reading Teacher Endorsement as well as ESL. I love reading and I hope to help you love reading too!

I enjoy seeing children take responsibility for their own learning, and becoming life long learners.

Classroom teacher since 1999; Instructional Coach, Reading Specialist, English as a Second Language endorsement; State Board of Education certified.

About the lesson

I interview the student and the parent, to understand the possible challenges. I assess the student to see where the break down of understanding is taking place, and plan lessons and activities to address the specific issue.
