About Vittoria

I've been a writer for as long as I remember. Storytelling has been in my blood, clawing at my insides, struggling to break free. I love it so much; that I even went to college for it. I've written many pieces, had my work published in a few magazines, and won a few contests. I've learned from some of the greatest minds in current creative times, from screenplay authors to nationally recognized authors. Let me put my knowledge to work for you. Work smarter, not harder, as the adage goes.

I have a passion for many subjects of interest and my capabilities extend beyond just English and Language Arts. I can help you with most of the STEM field, as I am currently a Biology major, with a concentration on conservation and ecology. I'm also working on a minor in Sustainability, and a certificate in GIS (Geographic Information Systems). Don't hesitate to ask me if you need help in other areas, as well.

I love seeing the moments something clicks in someone's mind, and they finally get it. That moment of joy and excitement is simply the best.

I was a Creative writing major in college, now I am a Biological Sciences major. Currently, I have 3.88 GPA.

I've also attended many seminars concerning writing, English, literature, and grammar. I was also that kid that you asked for help in class. You know the one. The book nerd, who looked out from behind the cover of her most recent dusty library find as little as possible.

About the lesson

First, we'll get to know each other for a bit. We'll find out what your learning style is, what you expect from this partnership, and how I can best help you. From there, we'll dig in, break everything down into a lesson plan that best suits your schedule, and get started with the learning process. I promise you, together, we will succeed in your goals.

Be sure to ask for an initial consultation. I offer the first consultation for free. That way, we can see if we mesh well.

When it comes to a tutor, they should meet you on your level and adapt to how you learn. Not everyone learns the same, or even at the same rate. Don't be afraid of expressing your needs and wants.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Try to work examples of your problem areas through first before asking, even writing down your steps and thought processes. That way, if you still don't understand, your teacher can look at it and see where the breakdown happened. This will allow them to understand where you need the most help. This is especially true for math and science subjects.

Most of all, don't be afraid to ask questions. It's ok to ask about something if you don't know. None of us started out knowing anything, but we learned by asking questions.
