About Belle

Hello,

My name is Belle Boquet and I am a college student majoring in History and Art History. Since I was young, I have had a passion for learning and teaching. I started tutoring my peers in high school in various subjects. More recently, my clientele has expanded to include all grades, (from elementary to college). My clients have seen extreme improvements in their grades, with an average increase of two grade letters.

I was educated at a college preparatory school and am currently attending Pasadena City College. My SAT score was 1810 and my ACT score was 27. I also self-studied for 4 AP Exams (Psychology, European History, US History, and Government).

Along with these qualifications and skills, I am also a college admissions tutor. If your student is unsure of which school they want to attend or where to start, I am here to help create a plan that will make it easy for them. I specialize in selecting universities and assisting in admissions essays.

What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing the improvement of my students. Most of the time, they do not feel that it is possible for them to get better grades. However, through hard work, I am able to see them become more confident in themselves and produce work that is far above their grade level.

I have always had a passion for teaching since I was young. I began tutoring my friends and peers in my sophomore year of high school.

About the lesson

During the first appointment, I discuss weaknesses, strengths, and goals with the student. Afterward, the student and I will create a plan that will help to guide them through their coursework. This plan includes tips, schedules, and grade goals for the student to reach by the end of the semester.

I have worked with a large variety of students, from Elementary to College, including those who love to learn and those who do not.

I recent memory that I am fond of is when one of my clients, who had a D in a class when I started working with her, was able to raise the grade to an A- by the end of the semester.

Details

My base rates depend on the grade level and the courses of the student.

Elementary Students/Middle School: $30 for 1 Hour

High School/College: $35 for 1 Hour

AP Subjects: $40 for 1 Hour (includes lessons plans and charts)

College Admissions: $45 for 1 Hour (includes notebook with scholarship lists and deadlines)

*For after-hours consultations: $5 per assignment
