About Michael

I have a decade of experience in tutoring math to middle and high school students. My students always appreciate my comprehensive knowledge of their math subjects, my eagerness to help them learn in a way that will stick with them, and my understanding of the challenges of learning math.

I sincerely enjoy those moments when things "click" for my students, and their confusion and stress turn into understanding and confidence! That is the experience I strive to provide for my students each time we meet.

My first part-time job after high school was as a tutor for my old school district. I'd always been a very high-performing student, but I realized in that job that I also had a knack for conveying my knowledge to others. Since then, I've worked with countless students, focusing my instruction on middle and high school math and SAT/ACT test prep. In the process, I've learned to help students feel good about the learning process and empower them to keep tackling mathematics.

Before I was a tutor, I was a hard-working student. I graduated from Plano Senior High School, ranked 8th out of the approximately 1200 students in my class. I also received a perfect score on the PSAT exam, and near perfect scores on the SAT and ACT. I later graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Texas at Dallas.

I have been working as a tutor in the DFW area for over a decade. I first worked as a tutor for the Plano ISD AVID program. I later worked independently as an in-home tutor and then at a tutoring center. My specialty is math, especially middle and high school math courses and SAT/ACT test prep.

I am new to this online platform, but I am excited to start meeting students here and to help you overcome any hurdles in your math education!

About the lesson

Mathematics lessons offered by Michael are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Corinth. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
