About Adam

I'm a student as well so I know it can be stressful and I understand how you feel. I'm looking to give you the best teaching experience without pushing you past your limit. I've passed every algebra class I've taken with an A and was a student tutor for my school up until this year. I'm willing to teach anything between basic math to college algebra. I'm also willing to teach in person and online although I'm not willing to travel very far for in person teaching.

I genuinely enjoy math learning about it and teaching others. I'm not sure if this is because I'm just good at math or because I genuinely enjoy it. I also enjoy this kind of work because I know it will help me in the future. I'm currently a college student who picked a degree heavily revolving around math and applying it in the real world. So not only will I hope this will be a great learning experience for me but for you as well.

One of my algebra teachers asked me if I wanted to be a student tutor and I said yes. I figured it would help me learn more and look good on my resume.

I was a student tutor at my school and helped kids frequently.

About the lesson

Talk with the student for ten or fifteen minutes before the first session (free of charge of course). Figure out what problems they are dealing with. Try determine what kind of learner they are between visual, auditory, or verbal. Come up with a teaching plan that will suit them and help them grow.

From freshman in high school to a few freshman in college. I've worked with students that were failing and students that just wanted to go from an A to a B.

Make sure they speak the same language as you before you hire them. I've had a couple of friends hire tutors online and figured out when the lesson started that they spoke a different language.

Getting a 4.0 GPA last semester and it looks like I'll get one this semester as well.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Is their any time they could come into the teachers class to get help? Do you have any alternative teaching methods that could be helpful for me? Do you have any advice to help me study? Do you think I should get a teacher?

Details

Depending on the difficulty of the class it will go up algebra 1 or 2 will be 25-30 dollars an hour. Algebra 3 or college algebra will be closer to 40 dollars an hour. Basic algebra for kids not in high school would be 20-25 dollars an hour.
