About Gabriel

I have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and I endeavor to use my experience in education and engineering to simplify complex problems by breaking them down into manageable steps. Mathematical concepts may seem complicated at first, but even the most confusing of topics can be solved by reducing the problems in question into simple steps in an understandable sequence.

What I enjoy most about working with students is watching them grow in confidence as they begin to understand concepts they had once thought were beyond their capabilities. With hard work, a little extra help and instruction, anyone can succeed in their academic endeavors!

I would say my real first experience with teaching came about when I worked on F-18 fighter jets in the U.S. military. I had to train juinor personnel in a fast paced and dangerous environment on how to perform proper maintenance of multi-million dollar aircraft and equipment. That was my first real experience in teaching and since then I have had the opportunity to teach students in a one on one as well as classroom environment.

I have Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in addition to private tutoring and substitute teaching experience.

I always want to find out what the student's confidence level in a given subject is, as well as what their approach to studying it has been. I believe in addition to instructing a student in the specific subject matter, it is equally if not more important to build their confidence with encouragement and to help them to develop good study habits for the future.

I have worked with elementary and middle school students.
