About Emma

I enjoy finding creative learning solutions to subjects students may be struggling in. Everyone is different and should be treated with equity in the classroom and given everything they needed to achieve achedemic success. Patience is another quality I posses, even though you don't get it at first doesn't mean u should give up; after all practice makes perfect! I have been a straight A student for as long as I remember and take pride in my schoolwork. Over the years I've learned how stressful school can be and look forward to sharing a tool belt of recourses with your child to make sure they aren't beating themself up over one bad grade. Learning from mistakes is more important than dwelling on them!

I enjoy seeing students faces light up when they finally get the hang of a subject. It brings me joy to see that I've played a part in your child's success! I look forward to building relationships and not only learning but having fun while doing so!

I have no formal training however my teachers have always used me to "tutor" other students in class when they were having a hard time.

When working with your students I get to know them as a person, ask them about learning preferences (ex. Visual, hands on) and get to the root of the problem. For example if a student is having trouble with word problems then they could have trouble understanding and deciphering the question as opposed to the actual math portion of it. Then together we find ways to solve the problem
