About Amanda

I believe that every student can learn; however, it is my job to foster this development and provide resources to promote academic success. I cater to the needs of the student. My instruction, assessments, and interventions are tailored to meet the student where he/she is and grow him/her to where he/she should be. I believe everyone invested in this process should have a "growth" mindset. In other words, my overall goal is for the student to show growth in the area we are working on.

I have 9 years of teaching experience. I am certified to teach general education and special education students. I specialize in the elementary grades K-6.

I possess a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. I also possess a M.Ed. in Elementary Education with an Emphasis in Educational Technology from Belhaven University and a Ed.S. in Instructional Leadership from William Carey University.

I enjoy seeing a student realize he/she can do anything he/she puts his/her mind to. When a student has that ahh ha moment, it lets me know I am effectively doing my job.

I started teaching right after graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I have always dreamed of becoming an educator because many of my family members are.

I received a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. I received a M.Ed. in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Educational Technology from Belhaven University. I received a Ed.S. in Instructional Leadership from William Carey University.

I am certified to teach K-12 special education with mild to moderate disabilities. I am also certified to teach K-6 elementary education, K-12 social studies, and K-12 reading.

I always start with a preassessment to determine what instructional level the student is currently on. With this information, interventions can be implemented targeting those deficit areas in efforts to close the achievement gap the student my have. I will also determine the student's learning style to best meet the needs of the student.

I have mostly worked with students in elementary grades kindergarten through 6th. I worked with both general education students and special education students.
