About Ryan

I have been teaching math for 25 years in Franklin Parish, Louisiana, almost all of it in the high school setting. I have taught every math subject from 8th grade math to Calculus including dual enrollment College Algebra, statistics, and trigonometry.

I am the Franklin Parish High School Teacher of the Year for Franklin Parish in 2021-2022 and head of the math department. I received my Bachelor's degree in math education from the Uniersity of Louisiana Monroe in 1998 and I am currently working on master's degree in Instructional Technology from ULM.

I love teaching not only the how for math but also the why. Math is not an isolated subject but it is usually taught dry and as a set of procedured to get to "the answer". Math is so much more than that and has such beauty.

25 years classroom experience teaching mostly hisgh school math and dual enrollment College Algebra, Statistics, and Trigonometry.
