About Luc
This business stands out in that it provides high-quality services for a fraction of the cost of other firms. It’s just one highly skilled tutor (me!) who is currently a student at the prestigious Kent School in Connecticut. Our variety also sets us apart. From language tutoring to history to algebra, we do any tutoring at the sub-high school level and a significant amount at the high school and college levels.
Many of my friends looked to me for help editing their essays or in their French and Spanish classes. I wanted to broaden the group of people I could help, so I decided to start teaching.
I am fluent in English and French, and am proficient in basic Spanish. I am a Gold Level student of the National Spanish Exams. I am a student at Kent School in Kent, CT, which had a 9% acceptance rate in my year of admission. Additionally, I received a compounded 94th percentile score on the 2017 SSAT, with a perfect score on the Reading Comprehension section. I earned a 35 on the English section of the ACT, I'm fluent in French, and have a working knowledge of Spanish. Also, I am enthusiastic about history, which I have studied extensively throughout my entire education. American History, Ancient and Medieval History, and Modern European History are my specialities.

The number one goal in tutoring is academic success. This comes not through a memorization of key materials, but the actual understanding of a topic. The first thing I do with a student is evaluate how much they can teach ME about the topic. From there, I establish a working process for the ultimate goal.
I mainly work with students at independent high schools, but I am flexible to work with all kinds of people.
