About Sushma

I am a post graduate in English literature, with a teaching experience of over 15 years. I have taught working expats and students from countries like France, Germany, Japan, Vietnam. I have the privilege of teaching at various levels- university, college, school and corporates.

I'm a passionate educator dedicated to making learning engaging and accessible for students of all levels. With a patient and adaptable teaching style, I focus on understanding each student's unique learning needs and tailoring my approach accordingly. ( Read what students say about my teaching here. (concealed information) )

My goal isn't just to help students improve their grades—it's to build their confidence and foster a genuine love for English.

I create a supportive, encouraging environment where questions are welcomed and mistakes are seen as valuable learning opportunities. Whether you're struggling with fundamentals, preparing for exams, or looking to advance your knowledge, I'm here to guide you at your own pace.

I'm reliable, communicative, and committed to your success. I provide clear explanations, practical examples, and constructive feedback to help you reach your academic goals. Let's work together to unlock your full potential!

About the lesson

My classes are fun and interactive as I use a variety of mediums : role play, videos, audios, games, activities, worksheets and theory. I believe each person has a unique learning style and I design my lessons after a thorough assessment of your current level, your goals, your strengths and your weak areas.

You get immediate feedback and home task to build up on your learnings.
In IELTS, you will learn everything to achieve your target band score - grammar concepts, pronunciation articulation, and vocabulary. You will get templates for writing and speaking topics as well as structure and topic vocabulary.

I teach all levels of English - beginners, advanced and professional, spoken and written.

5 Stars - Excellent Tutor!

I've been taking lessons for the past two months and couldn't be happier with my progress. Sushma mam has a real gift for breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps that actually make sense.

What I appreciate most is the patience and encouragement. I never feel rushed or embarrassed to ask questions, even when I need something explained multiple times. The lessons are well-structured but flexible enough to focus on areas where I'm struggling.

Sushma mam uses practical examples that relate to real-world situations, which helps everything click into place.

Her communication is clear, always punctual, and comes prepared with materials and exercises. I highly recommend mam to anyone looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable tutor who truly cares about student success.

I often set unrealistic expectations for my progress, which became a roadblock. Sushma Maam helped me prioritize. She is different; she is a genuinely good human who is empathetic and understands you well. She supports you in your journey and helps you grow as a person, not just a student. Her grasp on English is impeccable and her domain knowledge is excellent. She keeps the learning simple without any fancy stuff. I highly recommend her.
