About Me & My Approach
Hi, I’m Marwah (Mars). With over 10 years of professional tutoring experience and a strong technical background holding a Diploma in Science and a Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Electrical Engineering, I offer a premier STEM tutoring service built on proven results. My deep subject knowledge, combined with a decade of teaching diverse learners, allows me to make complex concepts simple and approachable.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I work closely with students from Year 1 through to Year 13 (Ages 5 to 17) across Primary, Secondary, and High School levels, specializing heavily in NCEA preparation.
My Teaching Methodology & Techniques
Tailored Success Plans: Every student’s journey starts by discussing exact goals with both the student and parents. I then build a customized plan designed to hit those specific milestones.
Simplifying Classroom Material: I take what students are learning in school and translate it into clear, age-appropriate language that removes the confusion and sets them up to succeed.
Curated Resources & Flashcards: I bring my own high-quality, targeted printouts of crucial STEM material to every session. Together, we build active-recall flashcards—a game-changer for acing NCEA exams.
Overcoming STEM Anxiety: Having worked with a diverse range of students facing various learning challenges, I specialize in easing academic anxiety, building mindset resilience, and creating a calm, supportive space where students feel safe to make mistakes and learn.
The "Practice Makes Perfect" Philosophy: True mastery comes from doing. We work through extensive problem sets and actively tackle past NCEA exam papers so there are zero surprises on exam day.

To guarantee fast improvement and keep everyone on the same page, my lessons include rigorous academic structure:
Mandatory Homework: Tailored homework is given after every lesson to reinforce the concepts we covered.
Custom Mock Exams: I write and administer realistic mock exams for my students to test their retention and timing under pressure.
Extensive 5-Lesson Progress Reports: Communication is vital. Every 5 lessons, I provide a detailed, comprehensive written report to both the student and the parents outlining strengths, areas of improvement, and next steps.
Lesson Logistics
Who I Teach: Students aged 5 to 17 (Primary, Secondary, and NCEA High School). Please note: I specialize strictly in school-level education and do not offer university-level tutoring.
Lesson Duration: 1-hour minimum per session to ensure we thoroughly cover the material and complete practical problem-solving.
