About Yasmin

I graduated from the University of Oxford in 2022 with a Distinction in my MSt (MA) History of Art and Visual Culture, and I completed my undergraduate studies at UCL, graduating with a first-class BA History in 2020. At UCL, I graduated with the highest degree results in my cohort. My master's studies at Oxford were funded by the Slade Bursary Scholarship. I gained three A-Levels at A*AA in History, English and Maths, and I also studied French and History of Art AS Level.

Prior to university, I completed an Art Foundation at the Royal Drawing School in London, where my work was awarded the Machin Foundation award.

I have worked as a tutor and educator since 2019, working with students between the ages of 10-21 in various educational settings: as a private tutor, teaching group classes, and with adult learners in further education. My varied tutoring experience has instilled in me a deep sensitivity to the individual needs of my students, and a commitment to fostering a passion for the subject and learning beyond the requirements of the syllabus.

About the lesson

I teach History of Art, Fine Art and History at GCSE, A-Level and undergraduate level. I am especially interested in helping students who wish to work on essay writing skills, and I love working with students on dissertations or longer research projects.

I also offer teaching for portfolio and written components of BFA/fine art at GCCSE, A-Level and undergraduate level. I have worked with students on extended essays and dissertations, particularly with formulating and expressing their ideas in relation to their art practice. I have a background in fine art, completing an Art Foundation prior to university, and I really enjoy working with artists on developing areas of their practice, whether visual or written components.

I teach the following:

Art: GCSE, A-Level, BFA Dissertations/Essays

My teaching combines engaging and collaborative lessons that are tailored toward's the student's own interests, with a grounding in the requirements of the syllabus or academic course.
