About Michelangelo
I am currently 19 years old, and in my first year of studying towards a Chemistry MSc degree at King's College London. I completed my GCSE exams in 2017, and my A-levels just earlier this year in 2019 (Biology, Chemistry, Maths & Physics AS). In this time I had to work through many struggles as a student, and gained a lot of experience that I'm more than happy sharing if it means making any younger student's life easier. Beyond the sciences I also have experience in medicine applications, BMAT and UKCAT exams, interview preparation for both panel and MMI, and article writing. Over my high school years I conducted two independent research projects (HPQ, EPQ) exploring both the impacts of violent games on teenagers, and the dangers of legal drugs compared to classified ones and the advantages of decriminalisation. Both of which were awarded A* and maximum marks.

Based on my experience, very rarely do two students learn things in the same way. Everyone has their own mechanisms for storing information in their head. I found out early in my life that I had a terrible memory, and could only recall information that makes sense to me and that I can relate to other knowledge I already have, like adding links to a chain that I can reach by pulling back starting from the first link when i need . I try to adapt my own teaching method to accommodate the individual needs of the student in front of me, I do not try to squeeze squares through triangle holes. I have experience tutoring both peers and mentoring younger students, but have also been coaching a team of younger children for 3 years.
