About Becca

I’m Becca, an experienced Mathematics and STEM educator with a passion for helping students understand not just what to do, but why it works. As a 2E STEM Specialist, I particularly enjoy working with students whose abilities, confidence, or academic performance don’t always tell the whole story.

I’ve worked with learners across a wide range of ages, abilities, and curricula, and I take time to understand each student as an individual. Some students need a quick, focused explanation; others need to slow down, unpack the concept, and build genuine mastery.

My sessions are personalized, encouraging, and appropriately challenging. I use diagnostic questioning to identify gaps, misconceptions, and strengths, then adapt my approach accordingly. I also value communication with parents and welcome their insight so that we can work together toward meaningful academic progress and greater independence.

About the lesson

My Mathematics lessons are personalized to each student’s level, learning profile, goals, and academic needs. As a 2E STEM Specialist, I take a diagnostic approach to identify strengths, learning gaps, and the strategies that will help each learner make meaningful progress.

I offer lessons in person in Boulder Creek or online, depending on the student’s needs and location.

Before beginning regular lessons, I offer a complimentary 15-minute discovery call to understand the student’s goals, discuss current challenges, and determine the most appropriate tutoring approach. This allows us to begin ongoing sessions with a clear direction and purpose, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Firstly, I can’t speak highly enough about our tutor, Becca and the impact she has had on my daughter’s learning. My daughter took to her right away, and has never complained about her tutor sessions. Becca understands my daughter and has the ability to work with her in a fun yet effective way, not to mention she has always been punctual and flexible. Ultimately, the hard work has paid off in my daughter’s marks. She has had a very successful Fall semester, which has had a positive impact on her confidence.

Becca has been my tutor for 4 months now. She is an engaging and insightful tutor, she has a world of patience, and she is able to adapt to different learning styles in order to assist the student according to individual needs.
My 15 year old daughter and 13 year old son have both shown significant improvement in their understanding of subjects they were previously struggling in, and are more organized and on top of their studies. I would highly recommend Becca to anyone looking for a tutor for his/her child.
