About Megan

Hi, I’m Megan! I’m an apprentice engineer by day and a tutor by evening, and I absolutely love helping children grow in confidence and realise they’re capable of so much more than they think. Outside of tutoring, you’ll usually find me figure skating, out for a run, travelling, or chatting over a coffee. I’m a big believer that the best learning happens when students feel relaxed and comfortable, so my lessons are always friendly, encouraging, and full of conversation. No two children are the same, which is why I tailor every lesson to their personality and interests. Whether your child loves Barbie, Fast & Furious, football, dinosaurs, or Taylor Swift, I’ll weave those interests into lessons to make learning more engaging and enjoyable. My aim isn’t just to improve grades—it’s to help students leave each lesson feeling a little more confident than when they arrived. I want them to enjoy learning, ask lots of questions, and know that it’s completely okay to make mistakes along the way. I can’t wait to meet you and your child and help them achieve their goals!

About the lesson

Personalised English Lessons Tailored to Your Child Each lesson is designed around your child’s individual goals, interests, and learning style. Whether they need support building confidence, improving their grades, preparing for exams, or simply developing a stronger enjoyment of English, sessions are adapted to suit them. Lessons are engaging, interactive, and creative — using topics and themes your child enjoys to make learning feel more relevant. From analysing characters and stories inspired by films like Barbie or Fast & Furious, to developing creative writing skills and mastering exam techniques, English is brought to life in a way that keeps students motivated. Sessions may include: Reading comprehension and analysis ️ Creative writing and vocabulary development Essay structure and exam technique GCSE Language & Literature preparation Confidence building and independent learning skills The aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable, challenged, and proud of their progress.
