About Haley

My main tutoring experience has been with young adults in high school, so I am very familiar with that level of reading, writing, social studies, science and math (the 5 sections on the GED!). I have helped students prepare for the GED, the SAT, and the GRE- which are all pretty intimidating standardized tests! Honestly, in my experience, having another person to learn with and from increases final scores exponentially. It is very difficult to learn information merely from reading it from text.

About the lesson

I found that buying a GED book is very helpful, and I would supplement the book with individualized teaching. The hardest parts of the GED are figuring out what exactly they're looking for within the multiple choice, and quickly planning the essay. The featured subjects are all relatively simple, but the execution is what makes the difference between a successful and unsuccessful grade.
