About Azim

I am a Maths graduate and have gone on to teach in high school. - DBS available.
I've been teaching since 2018 and would like to help students beyond just the classroom.  Maths doesn't have to be overwhelming, it just requires a plan and self-belief.

I am a qualified Maths teacher with 7 years of classroom experience, teaching both GCSE and A-Level content. I have a deep understanding of the syllabus and exam structure, which allows students to progress quickly and confidently towards their target grades.

My tutoring style mirrors my classroom practice, but with the added benefit of focused one-to-one support. I aim to create a positive, encouraging learning environment, helping students build confidence while developing strong core skills. I firmly believe that any student can succeed in Maths, no matter their starting point — it’s not something you’re “born good at,” but something you learn with the right guidance.

In our first sessions, I will get to know how your child learns, identify their strengths, weaknesses, and learning style, and then build a personalised plan that includes:
• Targeted revision of weaker topics
• Strengthening core mathematical foundations
• Practising real exam questions
• Developing strong exam technique and timing strategies
• Regular progress checks and feedback

Every student learns differently, and together we will find the approach that suits them best — the quickest and most efficient way for them to understand concepts, revise effectively, and prepare for exams with confidence.

My goal is to make Maths clear, manageable, and achievable, helping students realise that with the right support, they truly can do it.
