About Olusegun

My teaching philosophy essentially identifies with the various factors that scholars have recognized as predictors of mathematics achievement: demographic factors, instructional factors (including teacher’s competency), and individual factors, among others. As a teacher, I attempt to test each of these factors whenever I find a matching context in my classrooms. Teacher competency is the most important to me because even with the best classroom context and facilities, an incompetent teacher will still trigger negative learning outcomes.

About the lesson

I draw my passion for teaching from these words of Aristotle, “Those who know, do. Those that understand, teach. Teaching is the highest form of understanding.” My primary goal is to first understand a topic or an idea before helping others to do the same. I have over 20 years of teaching experience.
