About Aanya
As someone who has struggled with focus their entire life, despite enjoying school, I believe that effective tutoring starts with understanding how each student learns best. My approach is usually described as patient, structured, and personalized. I break more complex ideas into clear, manageable steps, then guide students to actively engage with the material rather than SIMPLY just memorizing it. I'd create a supportive environment where mistakes are treated as part of the learning process, and curiosity is encouraged! My goal is not only to improve grades, but to build lasting confidence, independent thinking skills, and a genuine understanding of the subject. Every lesson is tailored to the individual, ensuring steady progress at a pace that feels challenging yet achievable:)

Although I'm in 11th grade, I’m passionate about helping elementary school students learn in a way that actually works for them. I’ve personally struggled with ADHD and know how frustrating school can feel when traditional teaching methods don’t click. I was encouraged to consider medication for my ADHD, but I also learned different strategies that helped me stay focused and understand things in my own way. I want to bring those same creative approaches into my tutoring! For example, when helping my little brother read a difficult word, we can break it into smaller sounds or syllables, use pictures and memory tricks, or turn it into a fun little game instead of simply memorizing it. I’m patient, encouraging, and happy to slow down, switch approaches, and find what makes the material basically “click” for each child. My goal is to make learning feel fun, and most importantly, rewarding!
